Joining Ex Libris Lodge No. 3765

As the lodge transitions into a Special Interest Research Lodge, we are looking for Freemasons who have a professional connection to IT, or IT professionals who are members of a recognised Grand Lodge. If you fulfil these criteria, you are eligible to join us.

Our annual subscription commences on 1st April and includes United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE) and Metropolitan Grand Lodge dues. When you join, you’re not just becoming a member of our Lodge; you’re also enrolling in the Ex Libris Academy, where you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to innovative research aimed at shaping the future of Freemasonry.

Ex Libris Lodge 3765 is constituted under United Grand Lodge of England (UGLE).  Therefore membership of the Lodge is open to existing Freemasons who are their members of UGLE or Grand Lodges in recognition with UGLE.  Please check UGLE List here

Guidance for Candidates for Initiation

If you are looking at this web site with a view to joining us in Freemasonry, then you probably aim to share our values and are looking for guidance about joining a Lodge. The following will explain what is required.

Belief in the Supreme Being. Your particular faith is not our concern and does not affect your ability to join. If you are in doubt, do please ask us and we will answer your questions.

 

You will be at least 18 years of age. You will have completed full time secondary education. We welcome University Students, who are studying ( or have completed studies ) in Technology related fields such as; VR, AR, AI, Blockchain.

 

This is a male-only organisation. The ladies do have their own female-only UK based organisations but they are quite separate and unconnected with us. Please see;  The Order of Women Freemasons, The Honourable Fraternity of Ancient Freemasons

 

You must be a free man. That is to say, you must be legally capable of making your own decisions on your own account.

 

Candidates for Initiation should consider that this Lodges meets in person at Freemasons Hall, Great Queens Street, London UK. Therefore you would be able to attend lodge meetings.

 

You must be in reputable circumstances. You have not been convicted of any serious offence, nor that you are awaiting the outcome of criminal proceedings.

 

Your application to join – Contrary to popular myth, you don’t have to wait for someone to ask you if you want to join – it’s simply up to you to ask. If you already know someone who is a Freemason, he can help you on your way.
